John 14:6Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Learn about Bible Club Ministries

Our non-denominational format gives them a place to grow in their understanding of the Bible that they might develop a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ as they learn about God’s redeeming love for them.

Learn about what we believe:

We believe that the power of God’s Word can transform the lives of children by equipping them with Biblical Truth to know God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Learn about our purpose:

It is our desire that Bible Club Ministries’ nondenominational format will allow all elementary age children a welcoming place to grow in their understanding of the Bible and to develop a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ as they learn about God’s redeeming love.

Learn about our clubs:

Each Bible Club is open to all boys and to all girls in their grade level at school.  They generally meet weekly for about an hour throughout the year, before or immediately after school in homes within walking distance of the school.  This allows time for the children to play, eat snacks, learn memory verses and hear a Bible story.  Clubs have occasional parties and may choose to organize a service project.

Learn about our volunteers:

Each club is led by a team of trained volunteers who teach, help, or host a club to nurture the children’s faith in Christ. A workshop is held each year in August to equip volunteers with skills needed to teach the Bible lessons, to help the teacher or to host the children.

Learn about our teaching materials:

The teaching materials are published by  Bible Centered Ministries, International, specifically the Footsteps of Faith series. Bible stories are taught using felt boards with flannel backgrounds and figures. This material provides an opportunity for each club to explore both the Old and the New Testaments.

Learn about our history:

Our journey began over fifty years ago when the first Bible Clubs in Birmingham were organized to allow school children a place to learn about Jesus Christ. What started with just a few clubs at Brookwood Forest Elementary has since grown into a thriving ministry presently serving over 70 clubs across four school systems. Over the years, God has faithfully provided opportunities to expand the ministry in Birmingham as He drew volunteers to run those clubs. We also function as a resource for anyone interested in opening a Bible Club Ministry in cities beyond the Birmingham area.

Learn about our leadership:

Currently three volunteer women oversee the clubs in four school systems in the Birmingham area: Homewood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia and Hoover.  They train volunteers and distribute teaching materials each year.
